Our Story

Helping companies of all sizes achieve excellence in APAC

2002 Foundation
Unsatisfied with the inefficiencies and volume-driven approach of the recruitment industry, Jon and Tony establish their own consulting company and call it Boyd & Moore Executive Search (BMES). Initially the business was focused on delivering executive search services to foreign companies in Japan.
2004 - 2005 Intelligence Center
To strengthen its research capabilities and deliver sourcing support to consultants in Japan, BMES opens its Intelligence Center (BMIC) in Pune, India.
2006 - 2007 Diversification

BMES expands its coverage to new verticals including healthcare and professional services. The company secures a haken license to provide interim solutions in addition to its permanent talent services.

2010 - 2012 Expansion in Asia
BMES further expands in the region starting with opening an office in Singapore. In addition the company acquires 100% ownership of the GIC JP and establishes a regional search team in India.
2014 Diversification 2.0
Hiring Process Consulting and Payroll services become part of BMES’ portfolio. Due to extensive growth the company moves into a bigger office in Ginza.
2015, 2016 Awards
BMES gets named “HR Recruitment Company of the Year” for 2 consecutive years in a row.
2017 Acquisition

Technopro, Japan’s biggest player in engineering staffing, acquires Boyd & Moore Executive Search to better service clients across various markets in APAC.

2017 First US office

BMES establishes its first office outside of Asia in San Jose, USA, to support North American organizations with premium Market Entry and Executive Search solutions.

2018 More Awards
BMES receives two of the prestigious Recruitment International Awards for Best RPO Provider and Best Technical & Industrial Company of the Year.
2018 A new office in China
BMES continues to build out its presence in China alongside the well-established business of BMES’ holding company TechnoPro. The new BMES office is located in the center of Shanghai.
