Job Overview
The APAC HRBP role will be a key trusted partner and HR consultant for BMES in the Asia Pacific Region. The ideal candidate in this role will possess business generalist HR knowledge and strong business acumen to facilitate great business decisions and results. This role reports to the Managing Director of South Korea and, in turn, to the Managing Director of APAC.
What Will You Do?
- Lead the Asia Pacific HR Business Partner activities, developing market leading HR capability and support ongoing development
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure successful onboarding for all new employees
- Be involved on the talent acquisition activities
- Lead the delivery of the company’s HR processes, encompassing handbooks, policies, practices and procedures in accordance to local employment compliance
- Facilitate and effectively execute on all employment contracts (starters, leavers, extensions, transfers, retirement, off-boarding) to ensure it complies to local employment regulation
- Be a trusted partner to business leaders, managers and employees on HR matters
- Translate local business requirements into HR goals and actions, in line with the HR agenda and regulatory requirements
- Anticipate and address HR related trends and issues impacting the business and provide insights, recommendations, plans, tools and solutions
- Manage monthly payroll with local payroll partner
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- 5 years serving in a regional role for Human Resources/HRBP
- Experience in a high-paced international organization at both a strategic and executional level
- A solid understanding of employment practices (Labor Law) in Korea. Bonus to have that experience across APAC
- Pro-actively “rolls up sleeves”, independent under uncertainty, and gets things done
- A confident and effective communicator to work with teams and individuals at all levels within the organization
- Self-motivated with ability to adapt positively to dynamic changes
- Very strong credentials as an organizational leader, with deep business acumen, proven ability to understand strategic organizational issues, and lead and influence change
- The ability to operate effectively in a matrix, demonstrate agility in a fast moving organization, and cultivate strong relationships globally is a must
