We’re very pleased to announce the acquisition of Boyd & Moore Executive Search (BMES) by TechnoPro Holdings (TechnoPro) on July 1, 2017. Both companies are headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
With US$1bn in revenue and more than 13,000 engineers supporting Japan’s industrial, manufacturing, automotive, and technology industries, TechnoPro is Japan’s biggest player in engineering staffing. Through extensive discussions between BMES’ founders and the executive team of TechnoPro, both parties see major synergies through the acquisition.
BMES will maintain its brand and operational independence. The acquisition is strategic for both parties. BMES will contribute its expertise in the area of permanent Executive Search, along with its intelligence capabilities and international knowhow. Particular focus will be placed on the x-Japan Asia region where BMES expects to help TechnoPro better service its client base across various markets. Domestically, TechnoPro will help BMES further develop its Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Contract & Interim Talent solutions offerings.
“We expect the partnership with TechnoPro to greatly increase demand for our talent solutions outside of Japan,” says Jon Underland, co-founder of BMES, “and in our experience, the more conversations we engage in across the region, the more business we end up with back here in Japan. This market is always a real pain point.” His partner Tony Moore adds: “It’s another great milestone in our mission to empower organizations in Asia Pacific through introducing great people and offering valuable insights.”
