After the internal TA team had struggled for months to find the ideal candidate, we were brought in on a Consulting basis to support the hire. After a thorough needs assessment and competitive market data analysis, we determined that the salary band was not realistic compared to the high spec that was being sought: their ideal candidate would be an experienced leader in the healthcare industry and a change agent unafraid to make difficult decisions in a conservative business culture. After internal approvals to raise the employee banding for the position as well as to consider candidates from secondary industry targets in addition to the direct competitors they’d focused on, BMES was retained for the new search. We went back to its competitor market mapping and quickly shortlisted the 4 most qualified candidates in the market. The first choice candidate was successfully landed within only 9 weeks after initiation of the search.
